The Midlands Business Gala 2026 is the region’s first large-scale inter-university business pitch gala, bringing together the brightest student innovators from across the Midlands for an evening of competition, creativity, and celebration. This dynamic event blends the energy of a pitch competition with the atmosphere of a gala, creating a unique platform for student founders to showcase their ideas, connect with industry experts, and represent their universities on a regional stage.
Throughout the evening, attendees will experience a fully interactive programme featuring university showcases, innovation challenges, live voting, rapid-fire pitches, and head-to-head strategy competitions. Students will compete individually and collectively, earning points for their universities in pursuit of the title “Midlands University Entrepreneurship Champion 2026.”
The gala includes multiple pitch rounds judged by experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders, hands-on team challenges, collaborative problem-solving activities, and structured networking designed to help students meet fellow founders, mentors, and potential investors. The night culminates in a high-stakes final pitch round, an awards ceremony recognising outstanding ventures and performers, and a celebratory networking reception with music, media coverage, and photo opportunities.
